Senior Account Executive Hawkins International

Location: New York, New York (Hybrid)

WORK LOCATION: NYC Metro Area. We are seeking candidates that will work a hybrid schedule of WFH and two days per week in the NYC offices/in-person. 

Anticipated Salary: $ 67,000-72,000/year salary commensurate with experience and depending upon workplace.

Senior Account Executives have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, are highly organized, have a proactive attitude, take initiative, and have the ability to manage workloads effectively across a variety of client accounts.  

 
Responsibilities include:    

• Oversee Assistant Account Executives and Account Executives by delegating responsibilities, encouraging development and providing mentorship to junior team members 
• Cultivate relationships with national, regional, and local media and freelancers 
• Identify industry trends; build creative and strategic pitches to support them 
• Provide strategic counsel to clients as an authority to PR-related matters, corresponding as a day-to-day contact for relevant inquiries (I.e., press visits, requests, queries, etc.) and participating in client calls  
• Manage PR initiatives including PR plans and relevant strategy documents for press trips, media events, appointments, etc.  
• Edit press releases/pitches, build distribution lists, review PR reports, etc. 
• Build and develop strong relationships with day-to-day client contacts 
• Proactively pitch across a broad range of media, especially in the travel, lifestyle, and wellness verticals 
• Manage timelines and weekly action plans to ensure deadlines are met 
• Anticipate and proactively offer solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs 

Candidate Experience Should Include: 

• Passion for travel and hospitality 
• 4+ years of public relations experience, preferably in an agency setting 
• Working in and/or with travel or lifestyle-oriented companies 
• Excellent communication/presentation skills; verbal and written 
• BA or BS in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
