Professional Experience

In today’s world, engaging stakeholders and communicating a clear vision is more important than ever before. I draw upon my experience in designing and executing impactful communication programs to help organizations define their corporate narrative, navigate business milestones, embrace and leverage multiple media channels, and maximize marketing impact through influencer and internal culture campaigns. And when needed, I counsel companies through crisis situations.

My passion for driving change and building business through integrated marketing and corporate communications has led me to work with a broad array of consumer products, finance, food and beverage, health, technology and tourism brands over the years, including: 10 Barrel Brewing Co., Cupcake Vineyards, E. & J. Gallo Winery, First Republic Bank, Grass Seed USA, Logitech, American Lung Association in Oregon, Northwest Cherries, Redhook Brewery, Travel Oregon, Travel Portland, Umpqua Bank, WaFd Bank, Widmer Brothers Brewing and ZAGG.

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

How'd you get here

My career in communications started as a teenager when I accepted my first spokesperson role as the youth representative on the Washington State Tobacco Prevention and Control Council. My work as a spokesperson, educator and leader for health organizations nationwide continued throughout high school and college.

In 2001, I was nominated by my congressman and named National Youth Advocate of the Year by the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, for co-creating the “truth” campaign and contributing to legislative successes across the U.S. From there I went on to mediate public debates between Big Tobacco and health activism organizations and co-host the release of U.S. Surgeon General’s report on Women and Smoking.

After college, I pivoted to agency life and applied my passion for driving change to transforming brand perceptions, shaping conversations, and opening up opportunities for consumer, technology, health and financial services companies.
